You want a player w/1yr's college starting experience(ie Mitch again) except it wasn't this year it was last year? Mitch w/1yr old tape in the first round? Even if that's the case do you really think Pace is going to draft another 1st round qb w/that little experience? I mean he has more experience then Wilson but that isn't exactly saying much 1 16 game season in 2019 vs 2 seasons w/1 game each 2019 and 2020. Think about that, if Pace and Nagy are back, it will be on very thin ice, and you think they'll jump from one hobbled boat to a more hobbled boat?
Thats the problem w/this years crop. They are either mitch lvl experience or less, or outside of Lawrence, not very special w/real flaws. Trey Lance is supposed to be a great pocket passer, but that's b/c he lacks mobility. IE he cannot start for the Bears bc the Bears, if they were to take him, would have no OL to block for him, he'll need excellent OT's and a really good OL his entire career to survive and the Bears are 2 OT's away from having one. Fields looked very pedestrian against very pedestrian opponents this year. Just about all these guys stuff says, not day 1 ready b/c of the shortened season.
This ^^^^^
I think that is spot-on.
