My hope is that the Bears can pass protect and run block better in this game. If the Bears can't run effectively & also if Foles has to hurry his passes all game long I think it could get ugly tonight.
Considering this is a west coast game (Tampa was home on short turnaround), I think this is our toughest opponent of the year thus far.
I always want to win but I think tonight is gonna be an L.
LINK Donald is a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year... He leads the NFL with 7½ sacks, including a four-sack day against Washington two weeks ago. He also has six other tackles for a loss.
Floyd has two sacks, 10 quarterback pressures and four tackles for a loss in six games.
Rams coach Sean McVay called Floyd “relentless” and lauded his versatility and length. Versatility, of course, was the compliment the Bears most often gave to Floyd.
“You’re seeing a relentless competitor that plays with an effort that is everything he has, every single snap,” McVay said. “He can certainly rush, he can play in coverage, he gives us a lot of different versatility at that outside linebacker spot. But we love Leonard, and Leonard’s been extremely productive and great to be around here.”
Foles has been hurried and harassed behind a weak OL. He's having to hurry his passes trying to get the ball out before he gets killed. Things are probably not going to get any better in this game. Floyd is a good fit for the LAR defense and has been really good. Aaron Donald though is stellar, and without an offensive line to protect him, Foles is probably going to struggle tonight. Especially now that opposing defenses know that the Bears have zero run game threat. There is no run blocking so I expect Nagy to do the pass-crazy thing. LAR will pin their ears back and just unload on Foles all game long. Tonight could be ugly. In fact I could see Foles getting injured and we're back to Mitchell Trubisky. I really can.

If you want to run down a rabbit hole here is Brian Burke taking a look at Donald as a run stopper. He finds him lacking in that department. You'll have to play around on twitter to find all the tweets with gifs.
If you don't want to bother, the short version is that Donald goes after the QB so aggressively that he'll take himself out of running plays so quickly you don't have to bother blocking him sometimes.

LOL, that will work perfectly for our OL who don't block for the RBs anyway :-)

This will be our toughest game so far. Seattle and Arizona both looking good and w/ GB & NOLA in the hunt for that third Wild Card, this is kind of a must win for the Rams.
