Cmon Ric! I said O Fa hits, O! As in Offense. So dont give me no Prince, Danny T or Hicks. Also Massie, Ifedi and Graham are hits? Really? With two latter ones with 1 game for us? As one game. Your respond was redundant.
On my phone, somehow misread, still he has brought in some good OL talent to plug holes, TGab was a good signing even if only for 1yr. Massie was a hell of a signing, most thought it was a garbage move, along the lines of the heat he got from going with Ifedi this year.
Ya I'm calling it now, Graham and Ifedi were good signings, ifedi looks like the long term answer at RG, and graham instantly helped open up the field so teams had to actually cover cover the TE position from the get go.
Poor timing between him and mitch aside he has already shown to be a favorite of the qb and should have had 2 tds. This idea he was to old and GB showed it is already false
AR12 is his best O signing...I really liked Ifedi, but he could really easily be gone next year... Maybe Pace is gambling on Miller, Mooney and Wims. I have no idea.

Well I would agree that arob is the best O signing, but not the only one. I would say he and hicks are the top 2 signings with Danny Prince and Massie rounding out the top 5.
Why he is gambling on his draft picks? Its self evident. I'm not saying I agree with him, but again he set himself up to offer what they were willing to offer and not fair or max compensation unless necessary

Sorry ric but the only good FA O was Robinson. He's the only guy that shown consistently for 2 seasons. You can't say one game is consider good signing... Graham was a outcast from two teams that were playoff teams with much better QBs than ours. Graham was a last ditch effort.
Tgab? lol the guy we let go cause he couldn't catch the ball when we needed him the most.

Massie has been a starting RT since day one, and was re signed so yes it was a good signing.
I still feel like they will work this out. I really do. They seem relatively close on money. I think one of the things that frustrated me about this is the fact Ryan Pace has wasted money on players who were so disappointing, and here we have a guy who is proven. He has delivered even when we had a poor offense around him. Part of a GMs job is to manage the cap money so you CAN re-sign your best player on offense. And part of my frustration has been Pace's failure these past 6 years to build a solid offense here in Chicago. At some point you do have to have a base talent level on offense to get it done on gameday. AR is the #1 talent on our offense right now. Anyway, I hope he gets this done. Surely there is some compromise they can hammer out here.
I just get tired and frustrated year after year with the disappointing offensive units. LOL, and they ARE mighty offensive :-)

Robinson is Pace's only--repeat ONLY--proven and sustained success thus far at an offensive skill position. I'm talking ALL acquisitions here---trades, FA, draft, etc. Maybe Miller, Mooney, and Kmet can be others but they haven't proven that yet. Some others (TGab, Burton, Howard) have had flashes but were unable to sustain it. The others (Glennon, Sims, Wheaton, Wright, White, Shaheen) were all total fails. Trubisky is obviously the biggest investment and the jury is still out, although declining his 5th year option tells you there's not much confidence there.
We all know the way to build a sustainable contending/winning team comes from getting a core from the draft and supplementing here and there as needed via trade and FA. Pace has been excellent at that on DEFENSE but has really sucked on O. Drafting White, Shaheen, and Trubisky (all 3 misses thus far) has gutted the offense. Think about it--those fails led directly to having to expend huge draft and FA capital on Robinson, TGabriel, Burton, Kmet, Graham, Sims, Foles, etc.
It's a snowball effect from spending 2 1sts, a 2nd, a 3rd, and 2 4ths on players who either failed miserably or haven't panned out as hoped.

And yes I can, I just did.
Massie has been one of the weakest links on this O-line for years. He's far from a good signing. A good signing was the Josh Sitton a few years back.
No you can't count those two. That's why you got called out by many here.

See and that's what I'm talking about. AR is by far our best WR we had since Brandon Marshall. He has been relatively healthy unlike Alshon Jeffery ( When we had him ) and Anthony Miller. He also seems to disappear the least out of all our WR. He is our safety net. Getting rid of him sets up new problems. Can these unproven WR's step up and make a play?
If Trubisky doesn't pan out we need good weapons around our new rookie QB. Robinson would be a great security blanket for the next QB.
