Hicks joins injury report. DNP. Mack and Quinn both limited.
Well, that stinks. Even if some of them play it's tough that they are injury limited this early in the new season. Even with a solid defense, this highlights why a team still needs a base-level of talent on offense. You just shouldn't live-and-die on your D alone. Gotta have some help on O.

ATM D doesnt look too good on paper. Hopefully they can recover. But it doesnt look like last years... Goldman is out, Kwiat, Floyd, Prince and HaHa are not here... if Quinn is not on the field, our only "plus" is JJ. We need Quinn on the field badly. Our front 3 worry me. Hopefully it wont come to front 7... With left side of our OL close second.
This particular game is a great opportunity for the Bears. The Giants are not a good team. They aren't. The Bears have a great opportunity here to build on what was good last week, and fix what wasn't good last week... against one of the weaker opponents they will face this season. Opportunity knocks. Let's see if the Bears can answer with a solid game, on offense, defense and special teams today.
I hope the OL continues to look solid. I hope the run-game continues (please Nagy don't overthink this today and screw this up like last year). Mitch needs to show that he can be consistently solid. He doesn't have to be heroic or great. Just make good decisions and be more consistent.
I'm especially excited for THIS particular game today because I believe we will have a lot more answers by the end of the game as to how good or bad this 2020 team is. Go Bears!
I wasn't really going to post, but found this interesting:
I came away from re-watching the game feeling like neither of Mitch Trubisky’s two interceptions were primarily his fault. On the first one, Anthony Miller – his first read – was jammed by a defensive back and fell to the turf. Allen Robinson was second in the progression and the timing of the throw, yes, was a little off, allowing the ball to be tipped and picked off by cornerback Julian Love. That could’ve been better, but credit also should go to the Giants’ defense on it.
The second interception was both a catch Robinson should’ve had and a tremendous play by cornerback James Bradberry. Maybe Trubisky could’ve placed the ball a little better but his decision to give Robinson a playmaking opportunity was good. Bradberry is a tough corner but it’s a play Robinson, in all certainty, would like to have back.
This idea that Tru is just locking onto ARob is a bit of a self fullfilling prophecy at this point. He's the #1 WR, so he's going to get more looks then anyone else, and he's going to get more time to get open then anyone else, and he's likely going to get throws that aren't wide open and much tighter then anyone else. It's why he's a #1 and why he wants to be paid like one. W/all that said he has to actually come down w/the ball and be more aggressive.

I don't feel like Mitch is "staring down" Robinson so far this year. Certainly not like last season.
On the INTs neither was perfectly thrown but both were good enough that they're passes you expect a $20m WR to come up with. The 1st INT was at least half ARob's fault and the 2nd was completely his fault. Yes, I know that no player no matter how great he is can catch every catchable pass but I feel like Robinson, Miller, and Graham have each had 2-3 targets this year that should have been caught and weren't.
