And Ric, I felt like this is a base that can be built upon. There IS talent now on offense. Now if Nagy can work on the things that are rough right now, and improve from week to week - this team has a shot at being decent this year. There is hope. And Trubisky now has the weapons to succeed. He has the OL. He has the receivers. He has a legit run game to keep opposing D's honest. He has a TE unit. Now it's up to Mitch to sink or swim.
There is legit talent at all lvl's of the O this year. The Bears actually ran it 24 times w/their rb's(not counting the 4 Mitch scrambles). They actually called 24 run plays, 23 to rb's. They did that b/c it was working. It was working b/c the OL and TE's were allowing it to work.
We'll find out fairly quickly if they can continue it, rush and pass. What happened was a good base.
Def has me a bit scared, seems like they didn't improve from last year. Apparently the DL needs Goldman and Hicks to truly work.
Yup! Maybe try Jenkins in the middle? I know I would.
