The fact that the battle for CB #2 is between Toliver, Burns and Johnson makes me realize we’re very thin at CB. Now I’m starting to wonder if letting Prince A. go was a good idea.
Thought this was worth the share. (from The Athletic)
The biggest risers and fallers of 2020 Quarterback Tiers
Biggest fallers
2. Mitch Trubisky, Chicago Bears
Change: -0.89 (3.07 to 3.96)
Tier Change: 3 to 4
Trubisky suffered the sixth-largest year-over-year decline since Quarterback Tiers began in 2014. His current 3.96 average compares to 2015 Josh McCown, 2015 Robert Griffin III and 2016 Blaine Gabbert. Those players never recovered. Trubisky gets his chance this season.
3. Nick Foles, Chicago Bears
Change: -0.66 (2.76 to 3.42)
Tier Change: Remained in 3
Foles’ up-and-down career accounts for three of the 11 largest single-year declines. What has changed more, Foles or the situations in which Foles has played? His stints with the Rams and Jaguars were disastrous for reasons going beyond Foles. His time with Philadelphia included stretches of glory under two head coaches. Either way, Foles’ current 3.42 average compares to 2018 Sam Bradford and 2017 Tyrod Taylor.
Also, I think NFL showed a graphic about biggest decrease in QBR from one year to the next. I think Foles and Trubisky were #1 and #2 on that list. Yikes.
