I do not see Dak as much better than we have. No offense but he is not the answer in my mind and looking for way to much money for what he brings to the table.
Let's look at the stats
Dak: 2019
65.1 Comp 4,902 yards 30 TDs 11 Ints 99.6 rating
Trubs: 2019
63.2 Comp 3,138 yards 17 TDs 10 Ints 83.0 rating
Sorry but Dak is far above Trubisky.
I would not call that far better, completion percentage is not quite 2% and with the offensive weapons in Dallas I would not conclude anything from above. Just curious what 2018 looked like when Trubisky had a better year.

So all Mitch has to do is throw for 7200 yards & 50 TDs this season to catch-up!
I'm certainly not saying that Dak Prescott is an elite QB, and I'm not saying he's worth what he's asking for, but he's clearly head-and-shoulders better than Trubisky.
In the current market where Cousins and Goff are making $33M a year, Prescott deserves to be paid around that amount... though he's not close to as good as Russell Wilson, who's at $35M. I am a bit confused by those who are saying that the Cowboys are stupid for not throwing their wallet at Prescott... that is a ton of cap space that will be drained away, and if they weren't a serious playoff contender with him on his rookie deal, how are they going to be elevated further when he's counting $30M more a year on the cap?

Let's stop making excuses.
So do you believe Dak would have those numbers if he played in Chicago with no Offensive Line, a struggling Running game, No TE's. Foxxy as a coach for one year, no Running Game, and Basically one reliable WR. Just Asking

I don't think John Fox did as much damage as many here think. Heck John Fox wanted Watson as his QB if reports are true.

Dallas WR corps was so depleted that they had to trade a 1st round pick for Amari Cooper. Their OL was great 3-4 years ago, not so much last couple seasons. They've struggled at TE since Witten got old several years ago. Bears defense has been the clearly better unit for several years now and led the entire league in points allowed each of the last 2 seasons (a great defense helps a QB too, right?). Trubisky had Fox 1 year and Nagy (and Fangio) for 2. Dak had Jason lost-his-job Garrett the whole time. Since Trubisky came into the league, the Bears have gone 25-23 overall while Dallas has been 27-21 -- pretty similar.
We can play these games all day -- claiming that one QB had a vastly superior team and/or coaching staff around him when the differences between the two simply weren't that large -- but it boils down to the simplest explanation being the most accurate. Prescott has simply outplayed Trubisky and has been the far better QB. We need to drop the excuse-making and acknowledge reality here. The discrepancy between a QB Rating of 97 and one of 85.8 is pretty hard to dismiss over multiple seasons.

I am not saying Dak is not better. Just do not believe he is that much better and I think the supporting cast has a lot to do with it. No way I would break the bank on Dak

Strongly disagree, that ol ranked #2 overall by FO. And amari cooper and the rest were well more then the bears had, same at TE.
Like bs said better then tru sure, but not 35-40 mil in cap better

Dak is gonna get $30+ mil/yr from someone, eventually. Whether you or I thinks he deserves it or not. Is anyone talking about those same numbers for Trubisky?
