I don't know if I'd call that a "blistering take down"...not even sure I'd call it scathing. I also think we know that Nagy does not want to be an I formation running team...all that does is take away things the defense has to think about pre-snap, and takes away a threat on the offense.
Foles can read a D quickly and Nagy should be able to give him a shot at presnap info. that's something MT hasn't mastered. RPO gonna make the line and this O look good if called with Foles in shotgun.
I'm confused...Do we believe what former players say or not? Can we get a ruling here?
I'm not saying I don't believe what Kreutz is saying. Its his opinion after all. But Nagy did in many ways confirm what Kreutz is saying. I just don't think it was this big take down of Nagy and his coaching ability.
Agreed. I heard the whole podcast. As Kreutz admitted himself in it he is a close personal friend of Harry Hiestand, and was up front about that he is biased in this case. He didn't really say anything Nagy hasn't said himself at one time.
I do find it humorous with these calls to use more power I formations when that was exactly what everyone was lamenting when Fox was in charge with his "backward predictable offense" unable to get more than 6 wins in a year.

I think most of us are not wanting a "3 yards and a cloud of dust" run-focused offense. We don't want a pass-happy offense either. Obviously the goal should be to have an offense that can run AND pass effectively as needed to move the chains, score and win games. One-dimensional offenses that are predictable are not what anyone (I think) wants to see here in Chicago. The problem is that we don't seem to be able to execute anything well on offense. Really the run and the passing game is broken here. Honestly, HOW they fix it, I don't care. It just needs to be fixed. Fans are not paid to win the games. The Bears have a GM, coaching staff and a roster of "professional" athletes. Last year we watched a horrific impotent offense on gamedays. Couldn't run. Couldn't pass. Couldn't score. Just a clown show. Let's see if it gets better this season. I hope so.

Yeah, I mean I was one of the guys around here who was very excited when Heistand was hired because of his reputation. But for whatever reason it didn't work. Hopefully the new guy fits better with what Nagy wants to do more.
