I'm surprised at the national writers who should know better but always seem to go for the cheap laugh/"insight." Not just toward the Bears either, I read a guy who harpooned Washington for drafting Young because "why add another pass rusher to an elite group?" Didn't have any other suggestions, just wanted to slam them for adding Young.

I read less and less of the national football writers each season.

Chicago media always goes for the cheap heat, and chicago fans always fall for it.

I'm always amazed at how many ignorant fans the Bears have; guess thats what happens when you have such a large fanbase.

It is rather pathetic that some of the best Bears stuff I read is here and on windycity. The comments at windycity are a cesspool of trolls and idiots, so don't go there. debearsblog is pretty good, again, comments not always worth it. Local media needs to do a better job, and I barely read local these days. Pretty much Biggs and the Jahns/Hoge podcast. If I had the money, I'd pay for theatheltic.

I'll always remember when some local columnist (forget who), tweeted that it wasn't worth it to get comments from Conte after he decided to not cover Cobb because "fans don't understand the game anyway." Literally the biggest thing to happen in the season and the writer couldn't be bothered to chase down the story? Really?

agree w/all but specifically that. It'd be nice to have more comments from more people that are on here, but what we lack in quantity we make up for in quality.

windycity I think they only have 10 posters, but each has 5 alts so it looks busier. But it's 90% garbage. I do like reading online content, and biggs/hoge/jahson/Ema/Fishbain and the arkush's are all good to follow/listen
