How much more could Mitch regress? Like start to miss open receivers? Be unable to run simple RPOs? Suddenly start misreading DEFs? Be unable to go through reads?
Maybe it needs to be explained again if some of you still don't get it. It gets tedious sometimes around here.

LOL, so true.
He's already regressed to a backup quality QB level. Ask yourself what he would realistically bring in trade...be honest....and you will see how the rest of the league views him.
If he doesn't reverse that trajectory this year, he will hang around the league for a while hoping to pull a Tannehill. Any "further regression" will result in him going the way of Ponder or Locker--out of the league.
If you guys think that Mitch regressed soley on his own, and that was why the offense was so unproductive, then super duper!!! 👍👍👍 GOOD FOR YOU!
And why not break it down for me Brasil...you are the only person i have ever blocked on this site, so honestly i never see what you have to say...so this would be the first time for me.

I feel it was a mixture of: above all Nagy losing his strings, no running game, too many switches in OL and Trubs injury that got him to lay off his runs.

If you blocked me why did you read my post?
Its been laid out many times already by myself and many others on this site. If you choose not to read all those prior arguments no one can help you. Not only has it already been explained to you, you watched it all last season. If you choose not to believe what your eyes told you about Mitch than no one can help you. If you actually believe he didn't regress than no one can help you. If you believe that Mitch played well last year but was pulled down by everything else no one can help you. If you believe that Mitch was not the major problem last season no one can help you.
This site has a search feature, look up what myself and mpbears68 have posted many, many, many time. But if you're blocking my posts...…..

And let me add:
I hope I'm wrong about Mitch. I hope the light goes on and he turns into what I hoped he was when they drafted him. But after 3 years, I think we know what he is at this point.

Yes, we know. It was all (insert: the OL, the HC, the RBs, the Receivers) fault. We got it. Poor Mitch, he was so sabotaged by everyone around him. The defense even sandbagged him--by stopping the opponent as often as they did, they didn't give Mitch enough time to rest and study the iPad on the sideline between 3-and-out possessions.
I'll repeat: Ask yourself what he would realistically bring in trade...be honest....and you will see how the rest of the league views and values him.
He might bring a 6th....maybe. And that's 3 years after being a #2 overall pick. There's "regression" for you in real terms.

"Yes, we know. It was all (insert: the OL, the HC, the RBs, the Receivers the QB) fault.". fixed it for you, no one, not ever, said Mitch wasn't part of the problem.

and we aren't saying that Mitch was the only problem. The OFF played poorly last season and at times the play calling looked like it was being done by my 7 year old son on Madden. No one disputes that. We just differ on how much of that goes toward Mitch. When I see miscue after miscue from the QB position, when I see WR/RB with separation get overthrown/undergrown with regularity, when I see RPOs not executed properly, it's hard for me to come to any other conclusion that with better QB play this team would have finished better than 8-8. To me, the high majority of those problems can be placed at Mitch's feet.
And to deny that he regressed? That's not an argument worth taking seriously. I'm sorry I even got sucked into that one. I should know better than that. Mitch can't regress any further without being Henry Burris of Jon Quinn back there.
Like I said. I hope I'm wrong. I really do. I'm not a guy that wants to be right even if it means the Bear's are bad. I'd love to have to meet you at a corner bar and buy crow-eating-roundz because I was wrong about Mitch and he starts and plays well enough to keep his job. But is anyone willing to buy if Mitch loses the job to Foles in TC/PS/games 1-4? (Injuries won't count of course.)

I'm just looking forward to seeing the Trubisky thing settled. Either way this season. Good or bad. If he is good then we're set. If he is bad we can bring closure and move on to another QB. I see Foles as a stop gap in that scenario and not a permanent solution.
