Seems to me like you guys are not paying attention to, for example, Italy. I am, cos we are right next to it. Exp.growth, yesterday over 600 deaths in a pretty small area. Spain and France are catching up...
This +1000. The gravity of this situation cannot be said enough. We are so lucky at the moment to have one of the 2 areas in Spain which have not been hit hard yet. AndalucΓa & Murcia are lucky to have low infection number per 100,000 residents. Keep safe guys and stay indoors!

The US is on the verge of being hit. Could it last the rest of this year, absolutely, but an infectious disease dr I listened to seemed to think it wouldn't make it through summer. Could completely be wrong on that. I've been paying attention to this since China started forcefully locking people in their houses and knew this was serious. Since then they have seen a steady reduction in new cases, took about a month. Problem in the US is people are free to be stupid and the govt is slow to act on stopping them bc its their right to be stupid. Italy has its own issues, oldest population in Europe being the main one. US has an issue we dont know how it's going to impact us yet, obesity unlike the rest of the world.

I know, it's a time where there's a lot on our mind for sure. In addition to the big stuff, it's also frustrating dealing with everyday small things, like getting toilet paper. We've been trying to get toilet paper all week. Shelves are empty here everywhere. We got word yesterday that there would be a shipment come in that would be available at one of the big stores when it opened this morning (none of the stores here are 24-hour stores now that the virus has hit). We have a big Walmart Super Center here and that's where I went. The parking lot was pretty much full, that early. I made the mad dash into the store (scared people with surgical gloves and masks grabbing shopping carts and trying to get food from the already half-empty shelves) stuff just disappearing by the minute... whole aisles sometimes empty. I did a 40-yard dash from the door to the toilet paper isle (didn't grab a cart figuring it would shave a second or two off my 40 yard dash time - and there were 3 packages left when I reached the TP isle. I grabbed one and thought I'd better get out of there quick in case someone tried to take it from me. That entire new stock had lasted a few minutes. I'd been trying all week to score a package and had tried all the big stores around us. No joy. But this morning felt like Christmas. LOL, I am serious it did feel like that. I came home and proudly showed Mrs JABF my "treasure"... crazy.

The wifey ordered some through Amazon and it was dropped off at the front door. Who knew! I sure as heck didnβt think of that.

I did try that earlier in the week and none was available. They all had "Currently Unavailable" listed at that time.
