OK, we've made a couple of moves but it seems we could still upgrade RG at a minimum. I mocked Glasgow and he got 4/44M. The best C/G I think available is Connor McGovern who has his offer pulled by the Broncos when they signed Glasgow. I think he will get something like 4/32-4/36M. You have Coward & Bars left to fight it out. We are now up against the CAP limit and still need to address QB, SS, and possibly a fast WR.
Would you rather restructure and move money around now to go after a backup QB or go after someone of McGovern's caliber?
"A 2016 fifth-round pick, McGovern started 31 games for the Broncos from 2018-19"
I know I keep ragging on this, but so many of these guys each year are mid to late round (or UDFA) guys. I keep hearing that this draft is loaded and deep with OL talent. If that is true, then my hope is that we draft our own OL.

I wanted Glasgow too but looks he got priced out of reach for us.
My guess right now is that a FA OL is off the table (at least a starting-caliber player). I'm figuring that OL just became the #1 draft priority in the 2nd round.

+1
I have to believe the Bears will take advantage of a year where the draft is loaded with OL talent. If they don't then I'm gonna be pretty disappointed in Ryan Pace. My hope is that they spend at least 1 of those 2 second round picks on an OL, and spend another pick later in the draft for a prospect who needs some development - but who possesses the raw attributes to truly be worth developing (high ceiling guy).
But if they can't get it figured out at QB, then it's just gonna be another year of having a solid D and a crappy O and we'll have a disappointing season. Again. Ryan Pace just can't seem to figure out how to build a solid O roster. It's not just the QB, although obviously that is the biggest failure so far on O. He's whiffed on the TE unit so far... Shaheen was a blow for sure. The OL looked so pathetic last year. We have 1 solid WR in Robinson, and then after him we have question marks. The run game never showed up last year either. Pace has just failed on offense so far.
But yes, take advantage of this draft and invest in the OL.

I think another wildcard for RG is Alex Bars. His senior tape prior to his injury is good. He is really good on inside & outside sweeps as a pulling guard. He didn't many pass pro plays but the few he had he held his ground. Not saying at all he is 2013-15 Kyle Long but does have some talent.

JABF/Malaga,
Bars was considered a mid-round draft prospect last year until his injury so I imagine he's in the mix for the RG starting spot. He certainly will make the team as a reserve at least.
My best guess right now is that we are drafting OL with one of the 2nd round picks and probably a late-rounder too. As I have been saying, ABSOLUTELY MUST GET A TACKLE PROSPECT in the pipeline at the minimum.

MP, if we are going to go with a T de should do it either at pick 43 or 50. Ideally it should be a RT candidate.

Miller looked pretty damn good to close after a rough start

In my mind, one of the 2nd round picks almost assuredly will be a Tackle.
A) this draft class is deep at OT B) the Bears desperately need a 3rd tackle/someone who might supplant Massie in 2021 C) the guy can maybe start at RG this year before moving over, at least gives you another option to consider
