motm, this is off-topic (sorry) but you mentioned how the QBs are getting extra protections with the rules now. That's absolutely true and I agree. But the head scratcher for me is that QBs seem to still be dropping to injury at a high rate. Last season after the first two weeks there were a number of starting QB out with significant injuries. Brees, Big Ben, Sam Darnold, Cam Newton, and Darnold's backup (Siemian) was on IR. All those were out after only 2 weeks of play... and of course the rest of the season claimed more QB's including Trubisky. They protect these guys now like they were made of glass, yet they still drop like flies.
LOL, just a random comment. This off-season is so boring :-)

Players are getting faster, bigger, and stronger. When collision happens, its bound to cause some injuries...
Just look at the obvious holding calls Packers get away with.
If not at 7:46 go there. There is a obvious bias when it comes to who can get away with holding calls and who can't. If your name isn't Rodgers or Brady the chances of you getting hit are far more likely...

As fans, we’re going to have to start looking at percentage of the cap their contract eats up in order to make sense of everything. The game continues to grow every year. $17 ish Billion industry today, and who knows 10 years from now... $50 billion? I prefer the players getting their fair share over owners.

I believe I read that the new CBA being hammered out right now increases the players share of revenue to the highest percentage of any professional sports league.
The players are getting "their fair share" by any objective measure.
