1983 was pretty awesome too. Again, we draft 2 future hall of famers - and we also draft two amazing OL guards in Mark Bortz & Tom Thayer, plus we got Willie Gault who while not a great WR, he still was useful taking the top off of defenses with legit world class speed - set a world record at the 1983 World Championships and also set records in college as a hurdler. Mike Richardson was drafted in the 8th round that year and ended up as an All Pro cornerback for us!!! And of course we drafted Hall of Fame LT Jimbo Covert who started as our LT from day-1... Hall of Fame college AND NFL career. And on top of all of those great guys we drafted Hall of Fame DE Richard Dent who was a perennial All Pro who had 137.5 sacks (had 34.5 sacks in '84 & '85 alone).
