2020 QB carousel just got even crazier

This years season will look like a Madden season when you make a dynasty mode lol.

If they really want to trade him it looks like the following scenario to me ...

They feel they need to move on from Stafford for whatever reason.

They feel they can get some value in return in a trade.

They don't feel he is going to be worth the approximately $25 million per year if they keep him.

They don't want to pay him the $10 million roster bonuses his contract requires in 2021 and 2022 (yup, I mean $10 million due both years).

Take a look at his contract and see if you really would want to take on (link).

Wonder if there is going to be a team that starts only doing 5 year rookie contracts. ie drafting a QB every year and simply trying to plug a new guy in every few seasons.

Don't know if you can get the continuity teams crave but it would be interesting.

Could, I could see a team looking for this, or at least a qb every 2-3 years. But more likely I think this is going to be the beggining of the long needed recorrection of QB contracts. Top guys are worth it, but the ones below that aren't even close. And even at that I wonder if the top guys deserve those contracts. What has Rogers done as great as he is, what did Manning do when he was getting those contracts, Brees? All those guys have 1 or 2 SB's, and haven't seen a lot of SB games. 

While it is the most important position, if the contract hinders the rest of the team how does that help? I would say the same about pass rushers also; and why I thought that Mack deal was to rich; even for how great he's going to be. 2 1sts and a huge contract, and the Bears got 1 playoff game in 2 years. Not his fault mind you, but the contract hinders what the team can do to put pieces around him; same w/the high qb contrats.
