I'm curious. Will the Packers be the #1 NFCN power again this year? Which of these teams do you expect to be our toughest opponent in the division this year?
If the Vikings make the right moves this off-season then I believe they are a team on the way up, and the Packers, with an aging QB are gradually on the way down. Don't get me wrong. AR is still a decent QB. But his passing numbers were not in the top-10 (his passer rating was 95.2 which was less than Dak and Cousins (and others).
I honestly believe the Vikings could emerge as the top team to beat this year. But they do need to make the right moves this off season to take advantage of that.
But if the Bears can't put together a decent offense and Trubisky struggles again, then we're gonna be bottom-feeders again (3rd or even last place). Pace and Nagy have to get their act together - and obviously Trubisky and the offense has to do a LOT better.
And before someone jumps in and says we "swept" the Vikings, I'd say hey, we barely beat their scrubs when they rested their starters. So don't go there.
Got to be the Packers until the Bears can beat them regularly.
It's hard to beat the Packers when you score 3 points in one game and 13 in the other. We had 2 games last season where we scored 3 points. The top teams every year now are scoring near 30ppg. Sometimes over 30. The Bears offense is just totally dysfunctional and weak. I watched better offense last weekend with the XFL players. How sad is that?
