All joking aside, Mitch seems like he could be a guy who internalizes a lot and probably gets down on himself even more than what the fans do. It's not that he isn't trying to perform well. This is his pro sports career on the line. I can't imagine what that pressure must feel like. If he doesn't succeed here, he is probably facing a backup career, or worse, being out of football in a few years. As much as the fans wanted him to be a success here, he probably wanted it 1000 times more. I feel bad for the Bears, Trubs and the fanbase - all three.

Just a thought, I wonder if fan impatience may have something to do with Trubisky crap performance this season? Not an excuse, but something to think about. If the Bears do get a new QB, what makes you think the new QB will not be getting the same treatment as Trubisky is getting from the fanbase and the local media!!!!
This could be a very very good game for him on Sunday. Just one year ago he had one heck of a good game against this Detroit team. Hey, we pretty much have the same team, personnel-wise, for the game this year. Mitch passed for 355 yards and 3 TDs and no interceptions. It was a huge day for him.
The Lions defense this year is ranked 31st in the NFL in yards allowed. They are giving up almost 5 yards per run play. Their pass defense is ranked #30th in passing yards allowed per game.
I think this is just the right opportunity for Trubs to bounce back if he can bounce back. If it isn't in this game on Sunday, then it's probably not going to be this season. Big opportunity here.

Definitely Mitch's TV comment was taken out of context... I think everyone understood what he meant. But in a season with few things to laugh about, it was funny. Social media blew up having fun with it (it was perhaps the most I laughed this entire season... the twitter comeback comments alone were pricelessly funny). I think fans needed a laugh and deserved it... it's been a painful season for fans, players and coaches for sure. We all expected better than what has unfolded this season.
LOL, maybe Mitch can't lift our spirits on the field on gameday, but he sure as heck lifted our spirits with that TV comment. It was too funny :-)
