I don't think either of those things are actually entirely true. As I've said repeatedly, Trubisky is inconsistent, which isn't exactly a rarity for young QB's in the NFL. I'm having a tougher time understanding Nagy's deal, I've seen him call a good game on numerous occasions...so clearly he can do it. I feel like there is something blocking his ability to do it, kind of like the line issues I talked about last week I think. Sometimes its hard as a coach to get past that, but he needs to figure it the frig out.
Trubisky at least in Nagy system isn't working out how it should be. The guy isn't a pocket passer yet Nagy insist using him as one... Only so many times he consistently misses wide open WRs or under throws them instead of trying to lead them. Last game against the Eagles he made many bone headed decision a one of them being running into the defenders when pressure comes.
Nagy scheme has been exposed. The guy refuses to run the ball when it clearly is working at times. He loves to run Cohen up the middle and is refusal to adjust his scheme for what works for Trubisky the best. Take away that very elite defense we had last year with a top 10 defense we got this year and this is the results. Nagy was masked behind a great defense providing great field advantage for our QB. Reminds me of our 2006 season with Rex Grossman...
I understand he might of called some good games last year against garbage opponents but we're playing against the big boys now and its showing on offense its not working...
Sure we got other problems on offense like the poor OL and TE but Nagy and Trubisky are both #1 and #2 in whatever order you want them in as the biggest problem on this team. A Bad QB isn't going to look good with a bad play caller...
