Will Long be ready for Bears’ season-opener?

Seems like one way or another, the awards will be centered around mens genitalia. I don't think we should rule out female genitalia. On second thought... I'm not sure I could explain a floral labia type award either. Maybe we should stick to pigskin (not the foreskin of the pigskin either)

I just think they are now holding out McPhee, Miller, etc as they know they have a higher risk of injury so they get them well healed and rested for the regular season. Similar thinking fro Trevathan.

This is pure speculation (aka MSU), but my guess is that they started out trying to be conservative, but honestly he would be out there getting reps if he could, so I am afraid all is not what Fox is feeding us (shocking I know)

Makes sense.  That was what I was getting at with McPhee too and then some.

If the rumors out there are indicating that his knee condition is degenerative which is why Baltimore let him slide away in FA then it's like a set of tires with only so many miles left on them.  So do you want to waste those miles on trips to the grocery store that's four blocks away or save them for more important trips?

That might explain why what they're doing is more preservation than just simple caution and Fox will never discuss that or admit to it.  If he does then he might as well paint a target on the guys pants.  I'm surprise the NFL hasn't converted to the NHL method of reporting injuries simply as those above the waist or below the waist.
