His confidence was shot due in combination to his injuries and simply not being able to make the adjustment to the NFL. I think that's why WR coach Zach Azzanni was having him watch vids from his games at WVU encouraging him to "find THAT guy again".
I'll admit that he came into a tough situation playing for coaches who seemed to ignore how best to use him in an offense that didn't work to his strengths. Then he also had to gain Cutler's trust which he failed to do by not knowing how to run routes correctly.
But those days are past. The reports we're getting say he still has his top end speed and he has a much closer relationship with Mitch than he did with Cutler. With ARob sidelined for much of the OTAs White has been getting more reps at WR so that's a positive.
It's his last shot at saving his career in Chicago and he knows it. If he's not able to stay on the field and be at least somewhat productive he won't be re-signed and his value as a UFA won't be all the great either. He's playing for his next deal now.
I love all of these Keven White love stories. He could be a UDFA in standing now. I don't care what anyone says about him in the offseason. I will only care when a healthy Keven White performs well in real games. Until that happened he is Tanner Gentry to me.
