Especially if you have a franchise qb. It's why NE has so much movement w/out really getting many big time FA's. They'll let players walk you think they are crazy to let go, but when you have that franchise qb you don't have much of a choice.
And they (NE) keep guys who have bought in. Belichick is also ruthless and dumps guys when he feels its time. Its interesting that recently Belichick has been trading draft picks for vets--has to be part of a win now project.
Brady is aging, Garoppolo is gone and with him Brady's heir apparent so they may as well focus on getting one more ring because I think once Brady finally hangs it up Bill will as well and McD will grab the reins. That's my guess at any rate.

I think that is a pretty good guess, or at least its how I see it as well. BB/NE still keep pushing draft capital forward as well, so the cupboard won't be completely bare when McDaniels takes over.
