I am sure it was stated by Pace that he was going to release him later this month. Not sure why the wait.
If you wait until after the new league year starts (Wednesday at 3 eastern), it triggers the ability to spread your CAP hit over 2 years. The fact he didn't take hit this year tells me he plans on using some CAP now. In other words, I think he is planning on spending big. Of course plans don't always work. But I am still very optimistic about Wed afternoon news.

IIRC, about $2.5m of his contract is guaranteed this year so that would become dead cap. I assume some team will pick him over the summer as a backup so that amount will be offset a bit.

Just checked. They did release him on 2/28.

Could be but Suh strikes me as being coin operated. I don't think he plays for the love of the game.
Which would be reason #1 why I don't want him. There are teams like Oakland and Washington who don't seem to care much about a player character so I'd let one of them have him. I don't see him as a fit on a team with Kyle Long.
