I think White can be a good WR, it's just he can't stay healthy.
How can you say that? Everything he has shown is the complete opposite.
Brick Hands Can't run routes Can't create seperation Doesn't have the speed he was advertised to have
He was actually decent and good enough. He just can't get into rhythm and get confidence. He'd be all advertised if his bones weren't made out of glass. I think in 1 year, he won't be with the bears because of injury.

You must have some really low expectations for a 7th overall pick...

I thought the hands were a mental thing, he made phenomenal catches in college and even pulled off a decent one on his couple games he wasnt hurt in NFL but the speed never has been there and that concerned/concerns me. I'd love for him to stay healthy and come on strong but I ain't expecting much

I think much of the speed is uncertainty.
Are you certain about that? Because I think it's certainly possible. If he's uncertain about his route, he certainly would be thinking about it rather than running full speed. There's no uncertainty about that. I'm certain a better coaching staff will correct that.
While I am not expecting something great from him, I am definitely not writing him off either. There are very few "absolutes" in football, and every person is unique. Some players have gone through a series of injuries and it killed their careers. I've seen others go through a number of injuries and then stay healthy - end up with long, healthy and productive careers. With White we may be pleasantly surprised. If not, then move on from him.
I'm actually more concerned with Kyle Long's health. We really need Kyle to be able to get past the injury woes. We need him. White? He can be replaced. We haven't had any production from him so far anyway. But Kyle Long is a key component of the offense... I'd hate to lose him due to the injuries mounting up and shortening his career.
I'm with you with regards to White. If he doesn't pan out so be it.

I certainly hope so, from all accounts the guy puts in the work the right way and is a good guy.. so it'd be really great to have him show up and off. I really hope he can shake the injury bug and get the chance to at least try.

One way or the other he's getting paid so he'll get another shot and with Nagy and his staff maybe just maybe they can start him out with what he can do well and add the other stuff as he finally learns it. Even if all he can do is take the top off a defense as a deep threat he'll open up other possibilities but Fox and Loggains never envisioned or used him that way.

I'm more concerned about Long.
+1 Regarding Long, It's not just the number of injuries, but also the kind of injuries he's had, and the surgeries have not always gone well. I wish they had never played him last year and let him fully heal. I understand that he wanted to play. And I love how he plays the game with heart and doesn't want to sit out. But that's where a coaching staff needed to step up and say hey, we NEED you long-term here. It was a meaningless season - we were not going anywhere last year - so why bring back KL and just let him screw his body up more?
Kyle Long may come back like he was in the early years, but I won't believe it until I see it - and for a season. Not just a few games and then another I.R. year.
Age and an accumulation of injuries can bring down any athlete, no matter how great they were when young and before serious injuries and surgeries begin to add up. I believe the Bears would be smart to plan NOW for the post-Long era. Don't go into this season without that guy on the roster. If Long does come back 100% and plays 16 great games, then hey, that's great. But if he does another brief appearance and goes on the I.R. again, we have a young talented guy to step up.
