It all permeates down from the top V.  We both know that.

I worked for a company in GB for 13 years starting as mail boy at $2.40 an hour before working my way through a work study and apprenticeship program to become a certified optician.  Then I was promoted to sales and a little over a year later to a top profit producing division manager and eventually a corporate VP.

This was all under the same owner who hired me and promoted me several times.

When he announced his retirement and that his son and nephew would be taking over I began to plan my out.  I left first and over the next few years so did most all of the division and middle manager in the company.  All of the guys who been around to help create the huge growth surge we once had.  Within 3 years they were all gone and eventually the son and nephew sold out and the company is no bigger today than is was 55 years ago.

All wasted due to greed and self-serving mismanagement.

To be honest I can't really see how the Bears differ from this.  I've seen what the Packer Corporation has grown to over the years and it would dwarf the Bears.  The big bad big city Bears have been embarrassed by a team GSH once had to stump for so they could sell stock and borrow to build a stadium just so they didn't fail.

They are so much bigger and more successful than the Bears these days and all of this has happened since the McCaskeys moved into the ownership box.  The problems are systemic gang.  Just like my old company the heirs don't know WTF they're doing and their company is only surviving because no one can bankrupt an NFL franchise via simple mismanagement.  If it wasn't for the Bears they'd nothing just as Ed McCaskey was a nothing 'til GSH gave him a job so he could support his family.  If he hadn't of the guy would never have left a race track.

So there's your Bears.  Run by the sons of a nigh club singer and race track tout.
