Haugh is bringing up Pace's FA misses from when he walked into a dumpster fire of a team. A team that was getting 50 + points put up on it weekly with multiple head cases that were dragging the team down.
Yep, Ball sucked. Who cares? Hits in the draft are what this team needs, and Pace has been doing that the past two drafts. Activity in FA right now is just to fill holes to field a crappy team for the present day games.
I don't care that Glennon sucked for a lot of money, so long as Trubisky is successful. He was just an expensive insurance plan in case the draft didn't shake out the way it did. What would be worse is Glennon being decent and Mitch being a Marc Sanchez.
Exactly how I see it too. Glennon was a stop gap that gave Trubisky some time and earn his spot. Did we pay to much, probably but that was all part of the plan and no way he was not getting a QB to seem like we had no interest in drafting one.
