I don't know why anyone ever doubted it. Focks would not have wanted to draft a rookie QB now anymore than he did at Carolina before they took Newton. If that case he was fired before that draft. This time Pace wasn't permitted to fire him.
Added to this was Focks' intentional sabotage of his relationship with Cutler last fall and that came after he'd given him a vote of confidence earlier in the year. Focks is squirrely. I seriously believe he's losing it mentally. He's as tight lipped with the Chicago media as he can be but even Pace wouldn't put it past him to blab about Trubisky to his cronies if for no other reason than to sabotage a pick he didn't want Pace to make.
When you add up the numbers it all makes sense and if any of you believe Focks wouldn't stoop that low then you don't know John Focks. The guy is a master manipulator which is how he gains his players trust. The problem is eventually he'll lose it once they wise up to him and I'm 99% certain some already have as we'll hear about it after he's gone.
ya having a hard time trying to figure this one out. Guy doesn't want to talk to anyone in Chicago, but he'll talk to all the other coaches in the leauge? how does that make a lick of sense?

for the same reason he is not able to think quickly on his feet while on the sideline. He is a thimblebrain

Exactly. Some people are just not capable of processing the total impact of decisions they make. Cause and effect is lost on them. Last weeks challenge was a perfect example. An HC as experienced as Focks is should know the rules and quickly be able to process ALL possible outcomes.
He did eventually but is was 24-48 hours later after he "watched the films". Isn't that usually his out whenever he's asked about something that a happened during the game at his post game presser. He's not stupid but he's slow just like "Coach" on Cheers who took one too many beanballs during his career.
Focks is not mentally sharp. Maybe it's a drinking problem or maybe he's becoming senile at a very early age. I have no idea why I just know it is what it is with him.

A Thimblebrian that has gotten to 2 SB's, and the playoffs w/Tim Tebow?
