Like Bill Belichick, McDaniels didn't do well at his 1st HC gig. He will be a stellar HC at his next, the New England Patriots. McDaniels isn't coming to our crapfest franchise. He will be Bill Belichick's replacement when Wild Bill retires, and continue stocking the Lombardi trophy case there. The guy is a brilliant offensive mind. He will be the head coach for a class franchise, and not joining the McCaskey's.
I'm not trying to take away from what Josh does at NE, but that team as a whole is a freaking machine...
The defense rankings since 2001
Pts against:
Top 10 - 13 years
Top 15 - 4 years
Yes that is every year since 2001 that NE's defense has been in the top 15 in points allowed lol
Yards allowed:
Top 10 - 7 years
Top 15 - 2 years
The 3 years Josh was gone(2009-2011), the Offense got better, yet continued to stay in that top 10 ranking for points and yards when Josh came back lol so who knows...he surely wouldn't be a dipstick coach, so i wouldn't be that disappointed.
I always saw him as a coach that could take us to the playoffs but never win it. After seeing him closer up, I can see why he never wins it. He just plays way too conservative and the teams in the playoffs are good. You need to score point. But I never thought this would happen. I saw us at least in the post season by now and us losing because of stupid Fox decisions in the playoffs. It is happening in the regular season. Not sure why I thought he was a bad coach in the postseason but a good coach in the regular season. Either you are a good coach or you aren't.
Since I saw him get to the postseason so often, I assumed he had that down. Now I know he can only do that when surrounded with some really good talent. He can't actually build it himself. I'm just so done with him. These last 7 games can't go by fast enough. I want to know what our next chapter is.
