Would you rather Play Larsen? Playing between Sitton and Long can help him for sure
I rather have Grasu.. but I think Larsen should start at C at least for the first couple of games, let Whitehair get the snaps right and stuff. After all he has taken the majority of his snaps at LG.

I would hope that Sitton becomes our starting LG. 2x pro bowl at LG.
Let Whitehair take some time moving to OC or let him work at becoming the backup LG/RG.
One thing that seems to be ignored in all this is Long's labrum injury. Maybe it is more severe than anyone thinks. If there is any doubt about Long's ability to finish the season ant RG, this should make everybody feel a whole lot better.
In any event I have to agree with all the sentiment that you cannot have too much OL talent.
Here is Matt Bowen on twitter about Sitton ...
And here is a nice twitter discussion between Aaron Leming and Evan Fitzgerald of Fox32 sports about it (you have to click on the tweet to go over to twitter to read it).

maybe I'd rather have him too, but he is not an Option with his injury

I'm thinking Sitton will start at LG as well with Larsen at OC for now until Whitehair has proven he's the better option and that may happen later in the season. In the meantime he can take reps all over the interior of the OL and even at LT so he'll get a lot of work in practice with less pressure to have to be the starter anywhere right now.
So Whitehair could move to OC eventually or to LG with Sitton to RG if Long does need a game off to heal and so far we still have Silatolu also coming off injury status who might also be able to contribute as the season progresses. All I know is this looks much better now than it did a week ago no matter how they suss it out.
The good news is the Packers fans are reacting to this move just like we reacted to cutting Slauson.
Yep, they weren't happy they let him go and they're even more unhappy he signed with us.
My oldest daughter, who lives in GB and is a huge Porker fan, even called me yesterday about it and she never calls me unless the Porkers put something over on the Bears. In fact she seldom calls me at all.
Maybe it has something to do with trying to turn my grandson into a Bears fan huh?
It didn't work but I had to at least try didn't I?

Regarding Whitehair: right on the money. The kid COULD come in and play day 1 but why force the issue now that you have the luxury to develop him more. Whitehair played every (almost every?!?!?) OL spot in college. If he's not being forced into LG day one you can get him exp. up and down the line (not just the interior) which will give us a ton of flexibility WHEN one of our OL is injured during the reg season.
This Sitton move will help us immensely in weathering the wear and tear of the season.

Not trying to chug the Kool-Aid but I suddenly have a much better feeling about our OL after signing Sitton.
If Edison keeps on developing, we have quality backup with Edison and Whitehair.
