Holy hell, we release one injury prone slot receiver just to bring in another?
I don't get it, either. We're trying to trade an injury-prone TE, just released an injury-prone WR and now we wanna try out another injury-prone WR?
Doesn't make any sense. I REALLY want Tanner Gentry to succeed. This kid could actually surprise many of us.
No one we have signed in FA really gets me pumped TBH. I am more excited about getting some of our own players that were injured back than I am about the new acquisitions. I'd like to see Danny back, but not sure that he will be until later.

Generally I like how Pace has recovered the team from the floor it had sunk to. I think the signings of Wheaton/Wright were part of raising the floor. It brings the overall depth of the WR position up even after Jeffery.
But now its time to raise the ceiling. If White can really play and if Meredith can continue to improve than the ceiling is then raised. Adding Cruz does not adjust the ceiling, its another floor raising move. Now its time to stop signings Criz-type players and see what Braverman and the rookies/UDFA can contribute. If they don't measure up than move on. Next man up so to speak.
