Maybe, that or he agreed to give Prince his number, that happens pretty regularly.
Strange to give a one year player your number.
Maybe but Vet's tend to get preference to younger players for the #.
I said afert Cohen was drafted that he was likely Langfords replacement, so I wouldn't be surprised, but w/90 players on the roster there will be multiple #'s on players, and again it's not uncommon for a vet to come in and get to keep his # and pay the younger guy somehow to take a new one.
Both are legit reasons, we'll just have to wait and see. Might not find out until a few games after PS.

One thing is for sure. Even if they allow 25 roster spots for Offense. They will likely carry 3 QBs and I assume 9 OL. So that leaves 13 spots for RB, WR and TE.
I can't see less than 4 TE (Miller, Sims, Shaheen and Brown) so that means either 5 WR or 3 RB. If they only carry 3 RB then that is two from Carey, Langford, Cunningham and Cohen that don't make it. Given that Carey is a core special teamer and Cohen is a new 4th round pick it would seem that there is a decent chance that Langford is the odd man out.

That's a really astute observation. It will really come down to Langford and Cunningham, whoever shows better as a ST'r. BC's dead cap is only 800k, he could be easily cuttable, but Langford is only 270k.

I would tend to agree.
If they keep TE Brown, he basically a WR so I could see them going with 5 (White, Wheaton, Wright, Meredith, and Bellamy). I too think Langford's spot isn't secure. I'm also not sure Zach Miller is safe either.
Langford is most likely done with the Bears. I always supported him and say potential but with Howard's season last year and now the addition of Cohen I really don't see how he fits on the team. I would guess that he'll be on the team until they get to see if Cohen fits with the team or not.
If Cohen truly is a Sproles replica then Langford is gone. I'm actually excited for the possibilities this offense has now.

I guess the big questions will be whether Langford can contribute on special teams and whether Cohen's size is an issue for him when picking up the Blitz.

I can't imagine that Cohen would be in for blocking that much. Most he'd do is chip block right before he goes out on a route.
