NFL.com's Chad Reuter claims that we were "played" by our QB trade up, but both Huston and KC are brilliant for giving up multiple 1st round picks. Sometimes I cringe think I was dumb enough to click on these links. I should know better by now.
Even worse, there's a ton of meatball Bears fans bitching and whining and in doing so revealing their own lack of knowledge of how the NFL actually works. Listened to a few of them call in on NFL radio lately. I stopped reading the comment sections over at WCG for a few days because every thread is inundated with morons who like to complain about everything and play armchair GM even though it's obvious from their comments they have no clue as to the actual facts. Some of these guys you swear must have just started following pro football last week from the way they sound but you know that's not true at all. They just like to hear themselves complain and sound "authoritative" by criticizing incessantly.
I guarantee that these same fans bitching about every facet of the Trubisky pick would have been exactly the same ones lambasting Pace if he hadn't taken a swing at a franchise QB the very moment Glennon throws his first INT this September.

I just think some people live miserable lives feeding on whining, fault-finding & complaining - like the whole world is some dark conspiracy. Man, I couldn't live like that.
Ultimately grading the draft off of the media's list of top player would mean more if the media's list of top player was worth a damn. Pace may have gone a bit off course with the small school picks, but in the mid rounds it is low odds for anyone to be a impact player. Only time will sort out this BS.

I say it every year - you can't judge a draft for 2-3 yrs . I'm not gonna bother saying it ever again cuz it's a waste of time ( and morons are legendary for not listening anyways - that's why they're morons ) . They can bitch all they want - fact is I see alot of potential with all of the guys we drafted , and we added alot of FA's also , so that's plenty of " new blood " on this team ... a team that I believe is quietly improving .
In red are the guys I think the Bears might miss. AJ when healthy is one of the best WR's in the game, Larsen ended up being a real quality backup OG. 2, that's all we are going to miss. In green are the new additions I think help give positive production from last year day 1, that number? 9.
That's +7. If the team just stays relatively healthy, Danny T, McPhee, Long, White, Goldman that's another 5 guys that are contributing in a positive fashion that failed to last year. + 12 guys, including one at the QB position should account for at least 3-5 wins, even taking into consideration the vastly harder schedule.
