Mock draft roundup: Who the experts are sending to Bears

Most FB players deal with osteoarthritis. It's part of the game. My brother played TE throughout college and has been dealing with arthritis in his hips, knees and ankles for years. Ultimately, my sense is it's not going to affect his performance a ton as a FB player but it's gonna ravage his life on off days and post FB though. So if you care about him as a human being, yea it's a big deal. If you only care about him as a Sunday soldier, probably not too big of a deal.

Allen's gonna be a bad ass somewhere in this league. I don't think he'd be a bad choice at #3 but I don't think he's the third best player in the draft.

Despite the 'don't take a safety at 3' crowd, including but not limited to ric, on a pure BPA, Adams is probably the consensus #3 player (Garrett, Thomas, Adams). If were unwilling to take Watson there (assuming Garrett and Thomas are gone) I'd much rather have Adams or Allen than a questionable Taco.

Safety is a key role in the pass happy NFL. With the expanded role of the passing game, the dynamic nature of the TE and the expanded use of read options and screens, to say nothing of the downfield threat, safety is - look at top safety contracts - becoming a value position. Add to that the purported leadership qualities of Adams and you've got yourself a sure fire top 5 pick.

I didn't know anything about the arthritis, so thanks for letting me know.  In the end, I'm just going to trust the Bears to evaluate any health, or for that matter, any other potential problem issues on any of these guys, and make a sound decision drafting.  I confess that I am beyond excited to see just who they DO end up drafting :-)
