"His big flaw was lack of maturity and poor habits."
You answered your own question. 2 things you cannot have as a qb and he has both of them.
Lack of maturity is one of those things that can be fixed on a young man. As far as poor habits.... I dunno.... maybe better hygiene?
Dependson the habits, if they are poor study/work habits, the older you get those aren't getting better. If KC hasn't been able to break him of his poor work ethic(if that is the poor habits) then no other team is going to, and they won't touch him
First, between the comparison (which I had 0 idea of) and the following picture, hilarious!
Second, I'm not truly advocating going after Bray, his find his case curious. If he was such an untouchable with continued bad habits and poor work ethic, would QB still be holding onto him with all the QBs they've brought in to compete? I'm just curious of how he has grown. Let's not pretend that Andy Reid lacks knowledge in QBs/NFL offenses. There must be SOMETHING there, right? Letting a QB with talent sit and develop is something you don't really see anymore.

I'd be very happy to see Shaw back again for training camp pre-season next year. He created a real buzz in the pre-season games in a similar way to Howard. Of course he was not up against NFL caliber opposition - but you can only play the team put in front of you.
That said, I wouldn't want them to be relying on him and I'd still want to see new blood brought in through free agency plus the draft.
Um where have either fox or pace said that shaw is there future starting qb? Its never been said. If that was the case they would have said it awhile ago and wouldnt be talking about trading or drafting a guy.
And just when was this suppose to have happen. Since the Bears signed him before TC and then he ended up on the IR. Fox stated after Shaw ended up on IR that he was disappointed that he wouldn't be able to compete for the starting role and that was when Cutler was healthy

You answered your own question. 2 things you cannot have as a qb and he has both of them. And of course there is no way in hell that he would ever mature, or learn to over come poor habits with the right coaching staff. And why is it someone especially me, post something you don't agree with you indicate that they are lying because you didn't read or remember reading it. Try to remember no one has or can read every word written about the Bears. And then again if Pace and Fox didn't think he was good enough to compete for starting job they won't resign him. Oh wait they did resign, WOW. Of course you'll say he competing for the back up job, so guess we'll have to wait until YC to see how this plays out.

Shaw was claimed by the Bears off waivers on July 1 after a rookie season in Cleveland that included a start and some encouraging play. The expectation was that he’d compete with David Fales for the No. 3 job behind starter Jay Cutler and top reserve Brian Hoyer, but Shaw’s play through two weeks of the preseason led to speculation about whether he’d unseat Hoyer as the backup.
Please find that quote b/c Shaw was literally only ever here to maybe be a 3rd string qb.

Maybe he can maybe he cannot, but if KC doesn't do it, no other team is going to take a shot on him.
