Good lord! They said they liked Hoyer...not that he was the second coming of Joe Montana...let's take a step back here for a second.
Ya except there really wasn't much to like about Hoyer. No one is acting like they said he was a franchise guy. Just his play wasn't even really like worth
Compared to Matt Barkely? Again...I'm not saying the guy is winning us a Super Bowl, but he could be a good backup/mentor to a draft pick. Thats about all I expect them to mean by saying "we like Brian".

Low hurdles again? Hey lets bring back McCown and hope that Shaw can develop into Orton then we won't have to actually try and draft a qb.

Except they never said they weren't drafting a QB. I think everyone and their mother expects them to draft a QB...it's not exactly a well kept secret.
Again never said he said that, but merely commenting on the fact that them liking Hoyer is depressing as hell.
I mean...that seems a bit extreme bro.
Maybe you remember this season different then I do; Hoyer, while better then Cutler, was barely passable...as a backup. He isn't a good qb, he's not even McCown, who is at least Orton lite a a placeholder.

Oh no...I remember...but I'm not taking a "we like brian hoyer" comment to be anything more than gm speak right now.

Well that's all fine and good, but I'm taking it as we'll be bringing this bum back while letting actual talent walk(AJ), again.
Pace's comment that Hoyer is a "big part of the equation at quarterback" could mean they want him to mentor a youngster, too. I am not saying that's what Pace was getting at when he made that statement. We don't know what he's got in mind. But being a "big part" of the equation could mean mentoring too. Obviously, we don't know anything at this point though.
