I don't hate Cutler, but he's not a good qb, and I've been saying it for years now. Nothing personal, but I want the Bears to be a winner and they were never going to do it w/Cutler. Even when he had a O minded HC or a good OC and had guys like Jeffery, Marshal, Bennett, Forte he was still nothing more then average; when he doesn't have those type of pieces he's well below average. You cannot win w/that at qb.
Before his contract I was telling everyone you FT him for 1 year and draft his replacement, and that the replacement really should have already been on the team, been saying it for years now. Just glad it's over. Maybe they get the right guy and the future franchise, maybe they get someone equivelent to Cutler, maybe they get worse; but you cannot continue to build around a proven failure and hope to win.
I agree. Where do I get my "Fire Teddy" bumper sticker?
Same place you get your Sell the team McCaskey stickers
I agree I think he should retire. The more he plays, the more injuries he is going to suffer and down the road, he will pay for it. In fact a lot of players who are suffering the long-term effects of playing football, most of them are those who play the game too long.
While I agree w/you, that's not why he should retire, he should retire b/c he's bad at nfl football
I got so excited, I thought Fox was quitting or had resigned....bastard!!!!!
I would be doing my happy dance..... well... as soon as I get myself a happy dance. I don;t even know where they sell them, but I should get one so I'm ready.

Have a little of this, you'll be doing a happy dance in no time. And you won't even have to buy the dance. That's killing 2 birds with 1 stone, (4 birds if Fox and Cutler retire...)
Ric, im beginning to think you're not very keen on Cutler

Fortunately for Cutler there are a lot of bad QBs in the NFL right now so Cutler has a good chance at starter for another team.

Like other old "has been" quarterbacks, he may start for a short stint (like McCown has). But I'll bet that is his ceiling for the remainder of his career. He's a stop gap QB at best. Just a guy to help a team as a backup, or a short-term starter.
