Byard was 4.46 and Owen’s 4.43 so equal on speed.  Poles says he wants COMPETITION, so let’s have a little training Camp excitement. Neither should be just handed the job.

And also he is a high return on investment (a good value signing).  He was making peanuts playing for GB.  I think we are getting a lot for our money here.  I think we fans (me included) forget that the Bears are about 40 or so players short of having the roster ready for summer camp and the preseason.  40 short of the 90 guys we need going into camp.  We can't have a heart attack every time they sign someone who isn't an elite cap-busting dude.
