What's your gut feeling on this? Notice we're not asking "when we will win a Super Bowl" but rather being SERIOUSLY competitive with a decent PROBABILITY of getting to a Super Bowl. I understand stuff like key injuries can affect this, but assuming we have a relatively healthy roster, how long is this window going to be open here?

I am agreeing with you (2019 through 2021). If we keep Pace and his front office/scouting organization intact and if they keep doing such great work in the later rounds and in rookie free agency we could be good for years to come. But that us a lot of "ifs".
2020-2035 Trubs, if he is a legit franchise qb, will keep the window open for at least that long. If he isn't then the window was never really open to begin with.
Geeez, JABF, you want me to predict 18,000 years in the future? 20019 is a looooonnnngggg way off!
How about 2019 through 2030. This team has a strong base fore the future and the coaching to run it. As long as the McC's stay handsoff, we should be good (just ask the punky QB)

I disagree, an elite defense will always have a window.

I'm curious what you all think.
If our defense can be as good as last year but with a far more aggressive DC. Our window is RIGHT NOW.
Now let's just hope Pace doesn't forget about the side of the ball that has got him to the playoffs last year.

Elite Def's dont last 10 yrs. And an elite def w/a non elite def rarely have a window, there are examples but they are exception to the rules not the rules themselves.
