Summer Training Camp is less than 90 days away now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not too early to start thinking about attending this year. If you've never gone to a Bears training camp, maybe THIS is the year to attend. There is so much fun watching the players and coaches prepare for the upcoming season. You get to be super close to the action (in that sense it is much more exciting than a Bears game). It's like a picnic atmosphere too. Summer fun.
It is free to attend.
For those coming from out of state, or even visiting from another country, there is a lot of fun stuff to do (Chicago is fairly close... an hour away).
I am definitely coming this year... I rarely miss it (it's worth taking a vacation day off of work). And this year I am retired. Anyone else planning to attend? Maybe we can plan to meet there. I always bring Mrs JABF with me. She has become a great Bears fan buddy in recent years. Hope to see you there.

They have a whole separate area just for children. After practice a lot of the players spend a lot of time with the kids there.

I believe Virginia McCaskey (and now George) have always wanted this to be a fantastic family experience for Bears fans. I do appreciate that. When my kids were still at home I'd load up the car with them and their friends and we'd make the annual pilgrimage to Bears camp. Later when the kids were old enough to drive, we'd take a number of cars filled with their friends and just do a Bears caravan trip there.
Now they are all adults and are gone. But Mrs JABF and I make it up there each year now. I love to watch the younger families now with THEIR children, just having a great time. I do believe the Bears organization makes an extra effort to make it special. Kudos to them.
