Chicago Bears defense ranked top in NFL after draft
The Chicago Bears defense turned from a good unit into an elite unit during the 2018 season the moment Khalil Mack was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Oakland Raiders. He helped turn the improving unit into a powerhouse in his first season with the organization. As the team heads into the 2019 season there is a lot of hope that the unit will remain one of the league's best this upcoming year.
Bleacher Report's Maurice Moton recently ranked all 32 NFL defenses in the league following the NFL Draft and put the Bears firmly atop his list in the No. 1 spot.
Moton noted the Bears have star power, All-Pros and ascending players at a variety of different positions. In addition to pointing out what Mack means to the team, he also wrote about Chicago's two young stars in the secondary in cornerback Kyle Fuller and free safety Eddie Jackson.
