But, but, but, Uprights! Crossbars! Cross-winds! Cross-town Traffic! Floods! Plagues! Cataclysms! Armageddon! It's the end of the world!
Or so I hear sometimes. Sheeesh, you'd think its 2 seconds left in a tied Superbowl and we're at the 25 yard line and we're afraid to put our kicker in. It's Day 1 of Rookie Mini-camp. They'll figure it out.

Actually saw they hired a really good kicking coach. I think they'll be fine by the end of TC.

People are pearl-clutching over this nonsense? Drama Queen, anyone??
If Bears kickers are struggling in August, I'll get nervous. Until then I'm not gonna worry about 1 day in a rookie mini-camp.
Especially when that 1 day in rookie mini-camp is day 1 of rookie mini-camp.
IMO it's slow news day so we'll hype a story.
This is the equivelent of the first 3 weeks of the cubs and their not fast start. mlb first month is about as pointless a start to regular season as their is.
and btw if anyone was going to question if these 8 guys weren't going to feel the pressure you can bet they were and now more then ever after the press got it out there.
They will get it figured out. This was just the rookie herd trying out today. It also sounded like there may have been contributing factors beyond just the kicker (snap/hold). Still, I'll bet Nagy wasn't pleased watching player after player miss the 43 yard kicks. It probably gave Pace some heartburn too.
At least they're being aggressive trying to find a good kicker... and they will.
At least they are not paying these kickers a s**t load of money like they did to you know who.
I "get it" as to why fans are wanting the position fixed when you consider the Bears have struggled to get it right for so many seasons now - going back to Gould's last 2 seasons here when he struggled here. A number of kickers (and seasons) have come and gone. Each season we hope that the Bears will get it right, but they have failed.
I have to laugh out loud about one headline today in one of the major newspapers that said Chicago's kickers all "failed the Cody Parkey test" yesterday. Tough headline for sure.
So, yeah, I once again hope the Bears can finally end the pain at kicker, but frankly I won't breathe easy until they do. Not panicking at this point. Not at all. I just want to see the position fixed. I felt the same way about the QB woes for years here. Same with the O-line when we had trouble getting it fixed here for years too. For that matter our years of WR woes sucked too.
I just want them to finally get a guy who can kick well. Not panicking, but frustrated.
