Ya but if Baron is as good as he looks, you have to think he's the favorite. Although I'm interested in the K/P kid. Could you imagine a guy being able to do both effectively, thus freeing up a roster spot?
Unless he goes down w/ an injury, then you have to release an additional player in order to sign a kicker and punter.

Have a couple stashed on the PS, or that extra spot is likely taken up by PS depth. But K/P don't get hurt that often.
So who is my irrational crush destined to make the roster and take a starting position from an established vet?
I prefer WR from lesser programs.
Any suggestions?
Maybe not classically a "lesser program" but Mizzou is not a leading program. I am reading some analysts on twitter that this kid could be career trouble for Taylor Gabriel. Hey, you wanted an irrational crush, how about one starting from an irrational premise?

Great! So we can cut Robinson and Gabriel next year, 18mil of cap space will come in handy!
If Trubs plays well enough to deserve an extension it defintely will. Even w/the cap going up, it's going to be tough to have cap to do things w/a Mitch ext. Might need to cut those 2 and maybe Long or Prince just to make proper moves. Although I'm not sure we have anyone that can handle losing Prince right now.

We shall see.. It seems that Pace learned his lesson from the Parkey fiasco.
I suspect we might see more K/P in the NFL since the NFL might reduce the role of the kicking game.
At this point he just wants to get it right. I heard that rumors are that people inside HH felt Parkey had "made it" and wasn't putting the effort into the job; sounds a lot like why Gould ended up getting cut; he was struggling making a ton of $$$ and not making friends in HH also. Maybe he's just learned you generally want young hungry kickers instead of stupid drunk kicker

Emanuel Hall, (6’2”, 201), WR, Missouri (link) Another speedster with a 4.39 40
Keep an eye on him. I saw a tweet saying that when the Bears were up and ended up drafting Riley this was the guy he wanted.
From what I've read, Hall was a legit mid-round WR talent who shockingly fell completely out of the draft due to a hernia (which I believe he's since had repaired). Unless he gets the injury-redshirt somehow, I doubt the Bears are gonna be able to get him through to the PS as he's gonna get picked up by someone.

Theres gonna be a fight between these 2 draftees and Wims, at best 2 will stay.

Nothing against Gould, but I'm glad Pace didn't pursue him.
