The Chicago Bears signed former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Marvin Hall, Jr. to a one-year contract Friday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Hall appeared in all 16 games last season, registering 10 catches for 149 yards and one touchdown. He’ll bring more speed to special teams, where he returned 26 kickoffs for 616 yards in 2018.
Hall was signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Washington in 2016. He was waived by Oakland at the end of training camp and spent the last few weeks of the season on the Cardinals practice squad. He joined the Falcons practice squad in 2017, earning a promotion to the active roster in October that year.
Hall isn’t expected to factor much in the passing game, but his speed will give Matt Nagy yet another weapon to have some fun with in training camp and the preseason.

I can't believe Bellamy got a 2 year 5 million dollar deal with the Jets. Yeah, he had a good season with us, but he's playing special teams and bringing down 2.5 million a year. Crazy.

Unfortunately that is the state of market value in the NFL today. Especially if you are a free agent on a 12-4 up and coming team.

I'll go to my grave arguing that Bellamy so the field too much as a WR. His strength was as a four phase STer. Any game he wasn't on the field for 90% of the ST snaps was a game he was played out of position.
Nagy and company feel into the second trap as Fox/Loggains, thinking that Bellamy could play meaningful snaps on OFF without losing effectiveness on ST. As a result they played a subpar WR who was no longer effectiveness on ST.

I utterly hated Bellamy as a WR a couple years ago (Dropapotamus) but I admit he did improve his butterfingers. Even so, he had a weird habit as a receiver of often jumping or leaving his feet when he didn't have to. Even when he made the catch it tended to limit any chance of getting YAC. Dude did have some shake and bake to get open but never put it all together on offense.
Admittedly a small sample size, but I really liked what I saw in Wims last season. I think he's gonna prove to be a very nice find from the 7th round and a better offensive depth player than Bellamy.
He probably got the minimum to sign but there is a chance he will turn out to be a ST Gem. Can never have too many of them and the Bears ST's have not been that great of late.
