Depends on how we get to replace them. But this is what happens when you have success, and why you would rather go w/a O minded HC, b/c losing your qb's system that works is a lot worse then the Def's.
We'll have to see who replaces Donatelle before we can really know how much this hurts.

Remember what happened to our defense the following season after Rivera got fired? Or Denver's when Wade Phillips left for the Rams? PIT after DickLeBeau?
But you're right and as I've said in another thread, that's the downside of winning the division. I guess losing good coaches will always hurt your team, whether it's on offense or defense or even ST. Our ST got awful after Toub left.
Over the years only NE has been able to keep most of their coordinators and coaches.

We shall see when the season starts.
As for what happened when Rivera got fired, Lovie made some bad choices but he did bring in Rod Marinelli who was the last good DC until Fangio showed up.
As for why NE has been able to keep most of their coordinators and coaches, cause the coordinators who have been hired elsewhere stinks. Bellicheat coaching tree is not the best in the league.

Really cannot talk about the other teams, but the Bears def problem had more to do w/Tommie Harris and Mike Brown, and their injuries. And to a lesser extent Mark Anderson having a great rookie year and then crashing back to earth*for all those that think rookie/2nd year are proof of what a player will be, see this guy, and Langford, and all the others, 3 years folks*
