I feel good for Vic. He deserves his shot at HC. Pace and Nagy will work together to get a solid replacement for Vic, and even if the new guy isn't "Vic" I'll bet the Bears end up okay. The D unit is loaded with solid talent. My hope is that they find a talented DC who will be comfortable and able to work with that talent.
It always sucks when you lose a great coordinator to a head coaching job. But it shows there is something good happening on the Bears when other teams covet our coordinators for head coach jobs. And with our team being a young one on the way up, I'd think the Bears DC job will be very attractive to talented coaches. And also, having Nagy, an offense guy as our HC, it shouldn't be a radical loss if we we ever change our OC.

My thoughts exactly. We are LOADED on the D side. Losing a guy like Fangio sucks but getting even better with a more aggressive D coordinator is not out of the question at all
