Too soon to say on all this stuff. Let's see if JH can elevate his game in terms of receiving. If not, then he won't command "elite RB" type of money.
yep, your elite rb's are now catching 50+ passes a year if you are sitting at 30 and under you aren't commanding top rb money in the new NFL.
Forte and a few other Rb's started a trend in todays NFL that they likely won't ever get credit for.
I know reporters need stuff to write about, but holy smokes can we tap the brakes a little here? Howard is under contract for 2 more years. A lot can and will change cap-space-wise in 2 years. Cross that bridge when we get to it.
We don't even know yet if Trub is gonna pan out to be that franchise QB we all hope he does. If he flops, none of this crap matters as the Bears will be going back to the drawing board.
First of all, Lambert waited until the very end to state what was so obvious. Mitch is not a UFA until after 2021 due to the 5th year option on his rookie contract. But back to the topic at hand, for all the great things Howard does he still is not a complete back. His receiving issues have been well documented. If he does improve that then we will have a good situation to deal with. Otherwise you can always put one of the other tags on him. Lastly, with Cohen as a feature back making him more versatile I think I would retain him first. Too early though.
