Hi,
Worse for wear on most occasions due to the old booze. I'd stash a pack of cans in my bag. Have one before the game, one at half time and two at full time. Never affected me too much though. In fact, had one of my best ever displays at left back, when I was half cut. I was a tricky winger but I guess they moved me to left back on account of I rarely lost the ball on the wing but I think I started confusing myself with the ball and missed the opportunity to cross it.
Joke around the club ( but partial truth ) was I had to bath in deep heat to get myself up for a game. Ended up playing 4th tier seniors of Australian football decent standard nothing special though.
