I do not believe Sanchez was brought in to help coach nobody. As much as we like to think up reasons to justify a QB who throws more interceptions than Cutty the truth is more likely we are not drafting a QB early. I believe I read somewhere he has a winning record. Most teams when they draft a young QB high play him right away or have him second on the depth chart, 10 years ago they gave them more time but time is not a GM or coaches friend anymore. Some teams when drafting a future QB even play them to finish the season with there young QB once they are officially out of the play-offs, injury, or just getting a read on where the young guy is at in his learning. Can not think of an instance where they draft the future QB and make him the number 3 QB on roster. Guys like Connor Shaw taken later in the draft get the #3 spot and generally are not perceived as the future but you hope you found the next Brady and start him out at #3. We know there are not many of them.
I believe this may be more of an indicator that we will be waiting yet another year to draft the future QB. It will depend who if anyone is available in round 2. If we pass with the third pick and Kizer is avail maybe round 2. I suspect the 2nd is to high for Mahones as well he would need to fall to the third round which probably will not happen. Short of trades our picks do not line up with available QB talent and Pace protected himself with the signing of Sanchez. Just my opinion, I would be happy to see them bite the bullet and get the future started with a QB pick just do not see it happening. As much as I like the approach Pace has used and like most of his picks to date all signs point to no QB of the future in this draft for the Bears. I mean even if the brain-trust agreed it would take a year to fix the issues with Watson, Kizer, or Trubisky you hope Glennon survives the year you do not bring in an additional back up.
If they really think Sanchez is a coach then they need to replace Loggains and his staff and give that job to Sanchez. LOL this board would be in an uproar if Sanchez was QB coach but some believe that is why we brought him here.
oohhh.... to funny
