LINK Tracy Porter tweets about being written off by Bears
Tracy Porter is not happy with the recent additions to the Chicago Bears.
Tracy Porter's time with the Chicago Bears has been put in question following the team's recent signings.
Porter started 13 games in 2015 with the Bears and finished the year with 12 pass deflections and one interception. The Bears thought highly of him and gave him a three-year deal worth $12 million.
The veteran defensive back became the team's No. 1 cornerback last season and finished the year with 48 tackles, nine pass deflections and tied for the team lead in interceptions with two.
Following a strong start to the season, Porter went further and further downhill as the 2016 season wore on.
At the start of free agency, Chicago added cornerbacks Marcus Cooper and Prince Amukamara to the mix, leaving Porter to send this message on Twitter:
This is not the first time Porter has had to prove himself in the NFL. After a strong start to his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints, he played for the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins between 2012 and 2014.
The new additions in the secondary do not necessarily mean the team will be parting ways with Porter any time soon, but it is clear that the veteran defensive back is not happy with the latest additions.

Given our recent injury history, I hope they are not in a real hurry to let him go. Not that his is our best corner. But he might be the best available mid way through the season.
Go and prove it then Mr. Porter. Both of these guys should be able to be beaten if you can bounce back to the season you had a few years ago.
Just one more time that Pace shows players he could careless about them. No wonder the top tier players weren't will to sign with Pace during FA. Signing one is prove it, two signing is your the odd man out regardless.
I guess my biggest question is why is White still on the team he hasn't proven anything in two year other then he knows how to make money while sitting. The Bears sure need some competition at WR, too bad you don't get that offend with 5th and 6th round picks I guess Pace didn't think WR like DeSean Jackson, Kenny Stills, Kenny Britt, or even Alshon Jeffery were good enough to play for the Bears or may it was just Paces low ball number had them shutting the door on Pace.
